When it was discovered that Sarver had made racist and misogynistic remarks, the NBA suspended him for a year and fined him $10 million.

Paul posted on Twitter, "Like many others, I perused the report and am horrified and dismayed by what I read. "This behaviour, in particular with regard to women, is abhorrent and should never be repeated."

He also thinks that the NBA ought to have punished the owner of the Suns more severely.

"I believe that the consequences did not adequately address what was, in our collective opinion, abhorrent behaviour. My heart goes out to everyone who was impacted."

The study came to the contrary conclusion that Sarver wasn't "motivated by racial or gender-based animus," despite the league's findings.

Paul wasn't the only NBA star to express his opinions on Twitter. The league "certainly got this wrong," according to LeBron James.
